Three projects have helped provide more social and sports facilities in the municipality of Fortuna and improve the environment of the laundry area of ​​the town Los Banos.
These initiatives, managed by the Local Action Group Association for the Development of the Northeast, which have a total investment of about 196,000 euros, funded 75 percent by European funds EAFRD, and the rest between the region and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
The Director General of Rural Development and Forestry, Federico García opened the new facility with the mayor of Fortuna, Jose Enrique Gil.
The aim of this infrastructure is the development, promotion and development of rural areas.
The largest project was the refurbishment and renovation of the laundry area of ​​Los Banos.
The works consisted in laying tiles, urban furniture (streetlights, benches, litter bins) and designing gardens with drip irrigation system, in order to improve safety and beautify the area.
The laundry room was built in the early twentieth century, although it is unknown if it came from an existing facility to take advantage of excess water to wash spa and later use as irrigation water.
This plot is located in the tourist area of ​​the town: Los Baños de Fortuna.
The investment is 100,283 euros.
It has also built a community center in Caprés where children and youth may hold workshops, training courses, extracurricular activities, exhibitions and cultural events.
The center is situated on the grounds of the old school of Caprés, next to a building for rural tourism, in the center of the hamlet.
So far Caprés lacked a social space of this kind.
The new building, with rectangular shape and built on one floor, has a porch, lobby, multipurpose room, toilets, storage and storage.
The budget was 64,347 euros.
In order to facilitate the practice of sports to the residents of Las Casicas, it has also made a multi-use trail 20x10 meters intended for the implementation of various outdoor sports.
The facility is located in the center of the village so that residents can easily access and invested 31,336 euros.
