The Civil Guard detained three people for theft of a ton and a half of mandarins (07/01/2016)

Original purchase invoices using fruit to sell other mandarin varieties stolen

The products were sold in weekly markets of Murcia

The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia, in the framework of the 'Plan against theft on farms and livestock farms', has developed a research aimed at clarifying the theft of fruit farms in the municipality of Fortuna, which has resulted in the arrest of three people, one of them as alleged material author robbery and two related to an alleged crime of receiving.

The performances when members of the ROCA equipment (burglar in the field) of the Civil Guard began they found out that on a farm in the municipality of Fortuna abduction had taken large amounts of tangerines.

With this information, and because the pereceros products whose sale or transaction must be performed in a short time, the policemen inspected several weekly markets where, usually, fruits and vegetables are sold.

The result of these inspections, researchers have detected the retail, a weekly market in the village of El Palmar Murcia, tangerines whose characteristics, the type of cut made and improper handling, raising suspicion that these were stolen products .

Having identified the variety of fruit offered for sale it has been found that does not match the one on the invoice, which has led researchers to the course provider, coincidentally, owner and denouncing the abduction of ton and a half of tangerines.

The Civil Guard has verified that one of the detainees now had bought certain amount of tangerines to this farmer and later stole a ton and a half of these products it sold to other street vendors, allegedly.

The investigation culminated with the arrest of a person male, Spanish, 44 years and resident of Orihuela (Alicante) on suspicion of felony theft and two more men, Spaniards, 34 and 36 years, residents of Murcia which they are credited with authorship of the alleged crime of receiving.

The detainees and the proceedings have been brought before the Magistrate's Court No. 4 of Cieza Cieza (Murcia).
