On the weekend of May 11, 12 and 13 the municipality of Fortuna will become one of the capitals of men's volleyball with the celebration of the First National Promotion Phase between the champions and runners-up of the groups of Catalonia, Comunidad Valenciana , Balearic Islands, Aragon and Region of Murcia.
This was announced in the presentation of this important event that will attract to our municipality a show of high sport level where the Fortuna club will also compete to get the promotion of category.
Precisely, in the Plenary Hall of the City of Fortuna kickoff was given to this Phase of Ascent to 1 ° National Volleyball in an act attended by the Mayor of Fortuna, José Enrique Gil, Sports Councilor Tomas Bernal, President of the club Villa de Fortuna, Saul Pereira and two members of the team such as Miguel Bermejo and Juan García plus the team coach Cayetano Campoy.
This ascent phase will be held in the sports halls Sierra de la Pila and Saturnino Carrillo Belda, distributing the teams in two groups.
On the part of group A will face the Villa de Fortuna, the CV Torredembarra, CV Sóller and the CV Mediterranean, while in group B will face the FB Barcelona, ​​CV Mutxamel, CV Pórtol and CV Zaragoza.
It should be noted that the female team of Villa de Fortuna will also play the First National Promotion Phase in Altea (Alicante) on the same dates 10, 11, 12 and 13 May, evidencing the great level that the fortune-holder club currently holds, being and a reference in the world of volleyball sport throughout the Spanish Levante.
