The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure will order access to Fortuna by the A-30 highway with the construction of a new roundabout on the regional highway RM-411.
The infrastructure will reinforce road safety and benefit 3,041 vehicles that circulate on this road every day, of which 300 are heavy.
The roundabout will be 40 meters in diameter and the lanes will be 3.50 meters, in its execution will be invested 469,000 euros and the work will have a deadline of six months.
The general director of Roads, Francisco González Manzanera, today presented the project that will channel traffic from the left bank of the road and all the roads and streets existing in it to provide "safe access" to the school, the funeral home, the center by day and the place called 'La Machuca'.
"With this new roundabout we will force the vehicles to reduce speed and thus reduce accidents in this type of intersection," said Gonzalez, who indicated that this point also leads to a rural road that is the entrance to a series of facilities industrial and a multitude of rural housing and agricultural farms.
The work also includes the extension of the service road, the construction of the roads connecting to the roundabout and a temporary exit to the funeral home.
In addition, the renovation of public lighting and signage will be carried out, as well as the reinforcement and improvement of the existing sign in the entire section of action.
