The first of the 12 routes will go through the Wetlands of Ajauque and Rambla Salada, and will gather the representatives of the municipalities that cover it to present the topographic map of this protected landscape.
The restaurants and bars of the municipality take center stage in this second edition since all the participants will be able to enjoy menus prior reservation in the attached establishments.
The City of Fortuna has already prepared everything to carry out the second edition of the hiking routes "Caminos con Fortuna", which run through the different natural environments and districts of the municipality.
This Sunday, February 24, will take place the first of the 12 stages that will take place during the next months.
Caminos con Fortuna aims to promote active and rural tourism, and in addition to contact with nature and heritage of our municipality, on each route you can enjoy the cuisine of the area and complete a passport to finally get the commemorative lamp of this edition.
As a starting signal, and in search of promoting the spectacular Humedal de Ajauque and Rambla Salada, this Sunday there will be a walk-through of Fortuna with the presentation, in addition, of the topographic map of this protected landscape.
This act provides for the participation of institutional representatives of municipalities that include such as Fortuna, Molina de Segura, Santomera and Abanilla.
After this first tour that will start from the Interpretation Center of the salt flats of Rambla Salada this Sunday, February 24, on March 10 will go to Caprés by the domain of Jaime Alfonso Barbudo and final climb to the mountains of Corque.
For its part, on March 31 will go to the environment of La Matanza through the vicinity of the set of small volcanic cones of Black Cabecicos.
For reasons of Holy Week and the spring festivities, Caminos con Fortuna will resume in its fourth stage on May 5 in Las Casicas, where the paths of La Churleta and Cueva del Solins will be covered.
Already with the arrival of the heat, on June 2 the route through Hoya Hermosa will take place in the surroundings of the Sierra de la Pila Natural Park and quarries, going to the recently restored centenary laundry room.
For the 30th of that same month, the route of Caminos con Fortuna will go to Peña Zafra de Arriba by Cordel of the Valencian people and their watering holes, visiting the troglodyte dwellings, the Toro and Fuente la Higuera, after passing through the snow wells.
In mid-July, specifically on the 13th, and in a nocturnal format, this hiking program will take visitors along the promenade of Cerborosa, visiting the west washhouse on a magical summer night.
On August 3 there will also be a night route, this time with an urban route through the most emblematic places and buildings of the urban area of ​​Fortuna, knowing the mysteries, legends, events and anecdotes that have marked the history of this municipality.
On September 22, tomorrow's format will be recovered by walking through the fields of almond trees towards the entrance area of ​​the Sierra de la Pila Regional Park from Fuente Blanca, while the tenth route will go to La Gineta at a junction of roads between the mountains of La Pila, Abanilla and Orihuela on October 27.
The last two stages will be on November 24 in the area of ​​Peña Zafra de Abajo passing through the Barranco del Infierno and various paths of the hamlet, and finally on December 15 in an archaeological route that will disclose the visit to the sites of Los Baños de Fortuna, the Roman Spa and Cueva Negra.
As a novelty, and with the aim of a greater economic impact in the municipality, it will promote the possibility of eating in any of the restaurants adhered to this program, which will offer special menus at the price of € 12.
For this, it will be necessary to book in advance (until the Thursday before the date of the route) due to the number of places that each establishment can offer.
