The proceedings began last September, when, thanks to citizen collaboration, the Civil Guard had indications of the existence of several plantations dedicated to the illicit cultivation of marijuana, apparently enabled in homes in Fortuna. The Benemérita Citizen Security Prevention officers opened the corresponding investigation to verify the facts and, where appropriate, clarify them. The investigations carried out revealed that in two houses in the urban area of ??Fortuna the work of marijuana cultivation and its subsequent treatment, such as handling, drying, packaging and sale were carried out. Once all the necessary indications have been obtained and with previous judicial authorization, the Civil Guard, in collaboration with the Local Police of the town, has carried out the entry and registration of the properties, in which marijuana plantations have been found and detained the five people who allegedly ran them, who are attributed the alleged responsibility of crime against public health, for cultivation and manufacture of drugs. In the records, the agents have seized fifteen large plants, which were in the last phase of cultivation, and five kilograms of buds of this substance ready for their imminent distribution. All objects related to the illicit activity have also been seized, such as sophisticated lighting, heating, irrigation and ventilation devices, as well as more than a thousand euros in cash. The detainees, the drug seized, the effects seized and the proceedings carried out have been made available to the Investigating Court of Cieza (Murcia).
