| Outreach, communication, interpretation of heritage, environmental education and awareness actions will be carried out on the Regional Park of the 'Sierra de la Pila '| The general director of the Natural Environment, Fulgencio Perona, today visited the recreational area of ??'Fuente la Higuera', in the municipality of Fortuna, where works will be carried out to adapt its information point, with a budget of 42,000 euros, co-financed with European FEDER funds and an estimated term of execution of the works of three months. The surroundings of the Fuente La Higuera recreational area has a parking area and an adapted 800-meter-long path that allows people with functional diversity to access all the services offered by this natural enclave, with adapted furniture, barbecues to reduce the risk of fires, as well as directional beacons that facilitate the route and that incorporate information in the Braille system. The tasks of conditioning the information point, which will contribute to completing the equipping of the existing services in this enclave of the Regional Park 'Sierra de la Pila', will consist, mainly, in adapting exteriors and interiors, complementing the facilities with a service window to the public with an associated porch, adapt the accesses and adapted toilets, in addition to providing it with electricity supply with solar panels, water supply and improving the coverage of telephony and Wi-Fi. Once the works have been completed, the visitor information and attention service will be put into operation again, serving between 1,000 and 2,000 people a year. Professionals in environmental education and dissemination will develop information, dissemination, communication, interpretation of heritage, environmental education and awareness actions, aimed at the visitor and local population who come to this Protected Natural Area of ??the Region of Murcia.
