The municipality of Fortuna has named Adoptive Son to the priest Ginés Pagán Lajara, who 29 years ago arrived at the village of La Garapacha.
An appointment that took place yesterday, with a plenary session of the City Council, followed by the celebration of the Eucharist in the church of which Pasan is pastor.
After her she was given the title, during the discovery of a plaque that gives name to the square of the church;
A place that from yesterday has happened to be called Plaza Cura Ginés Pagán.
The priest feels "very happy, very happy and very happy" with this recognition.
"I consider myself the first child of God since Baptism, which is the greatest condition I have.
I was born in the municipality of Abanilla and now I am also the son of Fortuna.
This is a great reason to be happy, "Pagán explains.
In 1987 he arrived at La Garapacha, a town, as he says, "simple and humble", whom he wants to continue serving since his ministry.
The event was attended by the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Mons. José Manuel Lorca Planes, as well as the mayor of Fortuna, among a large number of neighbors and friends of the priest.
