The Department of Public Works has responded to a written question from regional deputy, Francisco Abellán which acknowledges in writing that the shuttle to Jumilla not run this year.

The deputy said that since late 2010 is located in the Ministry of Development for the project execution of these works, with an operating budget of 10 million euros.

Since it became operational on dual carriageway A-33 (White-Jumilla) on August 2, 2012, has been a constant of the deputy for the Altiplano request that the Ministry of Development run this stretch of 4 kilometers to join the end of the White stretch-Jumilla, with the town of Jumilla, in the division of the N-344, known as "shuttle Jumilla".

The parliamentary group presented a motion in Full 26/04/12, where the regional government requested that the Government of Spain claimed the full implementation of the highway from White to Fuente La Higuera.

Amendment to all

In this motion, the Socialist parliamentary group submitted an amendment to all to request the National Government to fully execute the A-33, from White to Fuente La Higuera, including the execution of the works to widen the N -344 from the junction of the Jumilla-Yecla stretch to ring Jumilla.

The motion and the amendment was debated on 19 September 2012 and the PP's absolute majority Socialist amendment was rejected and approved his motion.

"This way, condemned the execution lifetime of that shuttle from the highway Jumilla".

Deputy Francisco Abellán before this presented a question for written answer where everything raised before the Council, to which you said "in the State budget does not provide for carrying out such works."

Abellán believes that this response is clear the "regional government's unwillingness to require a commitment to the Ministry and necessary for the interests of the region."

Francisco Abellán has resubmitted a new question for written answer to the Minister of Public Works to report on the actions being undertaken by the Department in order to make it real political commitment to connect the A-33 since the end of the section White-Jumilla with the town of Jumilla, in the division of the N-344, known as shuttle Jumilla.
