The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, today inaugurated the new Center for Early Childhood of Fortuna, which provides specialized care for a total of 40 children aged between 0 and 6 years with impaired development or at risk to suffer them and their families.
Early childhood is a service provided to children under six years whose main objective to meet the needs of both transient and permanent, that these children have for their development.
Moreover, this care must be so globalized, that is also taking the family environment, and planned manner by a multidisciplinary service.
Early Childhood Center provides users with physical therapy, speech therapy, psycho-stimulation and support, hydrotherapy and psychomotor skills, in addition to a specialized service orientation and attention to families of children with any kind of disorder.
The new infrastructure, the budget amounted to EUR 111,167, is located in Gaya Street and is divided into units for each of the services provided.
During the inauguration of the center, Bascuñana reported that since the Ministry is funding a total of 28 early childhood centers in the Region which serves 2,423 users, both children and their families.
On the other hand, responsible for Social Policy and the mayor of Fortuna, Matías Carrillo signed a collaboration agreement for the construction of a Social Amenities Center, which includes Occupational Center for Persons with Disabilities and Learning Center Senior Day Care, a project also helps the State General Administration through the State Special Fund for the Revitalization of the Economy and Employment.
Bascuñana welcomed the two events held in the town of Fortuna, "because they allow complete network of services and care to the residents of this county, according to the needs and demands have been raised here."
