The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, along with the mayor of Fortuna, Matías Carrillo, today laid the foundation stone of a new school and Primary Education in this county.
The center has a total investment of 3,160,000 euros and will run the next academic year 2010-2011.
Sotoca noted that this new construction "responds to the regional government's commitment to strengthen and modernize the network of public schools in the Region of Murcia, even in the current economic crisis scenario in which we find ourselves."
He also thanked the cooperation of the municipal corporation by the transfer of land and take forward its support for educational projects in this county.
The new school will have six classrooms and 12 Primary Child, which means that the local educational provision is extended by 450 seats educational.
Provide facilities and a gymnasium, multipurpose room, dining room and sports courts.
The Ministry of Education, Training and Employment made in recent years several investments in the town of Fortuna, with a total investment of 500,000 euros, including the repair and refurbishment of school Vicente Aleixandre, in 2008, and the expansion of four classrooms and a multipurpose room at St. Anthony School in 2009.
Fortuna currently has two centers and Primary Education, Alexandre Vincent and St. Anton, an IES Santa María de los Baños, and two centers Grouped Rural (CRA), Miguel Hernandez in The Genet and Federico Lorca Gracía in La Matanza.
